In 2003 I began to make jewellery out of vintage buttons and beads and supplied three shops in Dorset and Devon, selling over 600 items.

In the early days I also made chokers out of ribbon, beads and feathers.
I called this type of jewellery my ‘chaos’ jewellery.

I sourced buttons from boot sales, vintage fairs, ebay and charity shops.

I also made more delicate button jewellery, such as this glass button choker – or the ‘triple’ range, made up of a larger and then a smaller button, plus a bead.

Some of the ‘triple’ items were random mixes, whilst others were more uniform, using dyed shell buttons.
I stopped making CCC Jewellery in 2008, but not before I’d become completely addicted to collecting rare and unusual buttons.
